Web5X-08 Lithium Batteries: The following requirements and limitations apply to battery shipments: • To facilitate seamless transport of shipments tendered without an IATA Air Waybill, UPS requires lithium battery packages of UN 3481 or UN 3091 prepared and marked/labelled in accordance with Section II of the Web• Shipments of UN 3480, Lithium ion batteries and UN 3090, Lithium metal batteries are accepted only when prepared under Section I.A or I.B of the relevant Packing Instruction. Shipments containing UN 3090 or UN 3480 prepared according to Section II of the 62nd (2024) edition of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations are not accepted.
